Marnie Walsh is licensed to practice law in Colorado. Marnie’s practice focuses on estate planning and small business formation and management. She prepares personalized, custom wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other documents that help her clients communicate their wishes and directives. Marnie also has experience writing marital agreements, business contracts, and applications for tax-exempt status. She advises clients in all stages of business operations and enjoys working with leaders of § 501(c)(3) charities and other nonprofit corporations.
Marnie obtained her undergraduate degree in religious studies (with a minor in mathematics) from the College of Wooster, Ohio (B.A., 1988). She received her legal education from the University of Colorado, Boulder (J.D., 1991), and her tax degree from the University of Denver (LL.M. in taxation, 1995). Marnie was admitted to the practice of law in Colorado in 1991 and in the U.S. District Court, District of Colorado, in 1994. She served as a judicial law clerk in Jefferson County, Colorado, for over two years (first for the Honorable Henry E. Nieto, then for the Honorable Michael C. Villano). Marnie entered private practice in 1995 as an associate attorney with Fleming, Pattridge & Runnerstrom, P.C. in Golden, Colorado. Before forming Walsh Law, P.C., Marnie worked as an associate attorney with Hale Hackstaff Friesen, LLP, in Denver, Colorado.
Marnie is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and has been active in the First Judicial District Bar Association (Gilpin County and Jefferson County, Colorado), serving on its Board of Trustees from 1995 to 1997. In 1996, she received the Outstanding Young Lawyer Award from the First Judicial District Bar Association. She volunteers for a regional mock trial competition and provides free legal services to limited-income arts organizations referred by Colorado Attorneys for the Arts, a Colorado Business Committee for the Arts program.
Marnie is an affiliate/adjunct faculty member at Regis University and at the University of Denver University College. She enjoys helping graduate students gain confidence as they identify legal issues and develop strategies to minimize and manage risks.
Marnie was born in Vicenza, Italy. She is happily married to Tom Walsh, also an attorney. They have three children. In July 2004, Marnie and Tom Walsh formed Walsh Law, P.C. in Golden, Colorado, where they help clients make educated choices with confidence.

Tom Walsh is licensed to practice law in Colorado. Tom’s practice involves civil litigation and estate planning. He has wide-ranging experience in jury trials and trials to the court in jurisdictions throughout Colorado. The nature of his litigation practice involves contract and business disputes, probate litigation (will contests), and real property disputes. Most of his clients live or work in the community of Jefferson County, Colorado, and its surrounding areas.
Tom obtained his undergraduate degree in political economy from The Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado (B.A., 1987). He received his legal education from the University of Colorado, Boulder (J.D., 1990). In law school, he received the American Jurisprudence Award in Torts and was a Staff Editor for the University of Colorado Law Review. Tom was admitted to the practice of law in Colorado and in the U.S. District Court, District of Colorado, in 1990. Following his admission, Tom joined the firm of Holley, Albertson & Polk, P.C. in Golden, Colorado as an associate attorney. In 1997, Tom began practicing as a solo lawyer in Golden. His reported appellate cases include DCB Const. Co. v. Central City Dev. Co., 965 P.2d 115 (Colo. 1998); Baumgarten v. Coppage, 15 P.3d 304 (Colo.App. 2000); and Hunter v. Mansell, 240 P.3d 469 (Colo.App.Div. 3 2010).
Tom is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and the First Judicial District Bar Association. Currently, he is the co-chair of the Bench/Bar Committee. He was the regional coordinator for the annual high school mock trial competitions in the First Judicial District (Gilpin County and Jefferson County, Colorado) from 1996 through 2008. The First Judicial District Bar Association gave Tom the Outstanding Young Lawyer Award in 1996 and the Linda T. Palmieri Award for Outstanding Service on Behalf of Children in 2008.
Tom serves as an usher and lay minister at church and as the attorney coach for a high school mock trial team. He also enjoys volunteering for the high school community advisory board.
Tom was born in Orlando, Florida. He is happily married to Marnie Walsh, also an attorney. They have three children. In July 2004, Tom and Marnie Walsh formed Walsh Law, P.C. in Golden, Colorado, where they help clients make educated choices with confidence.
